Blue Ridge Arborist Association TCC July 8-9th

Hello Everyone!

We are bringing back the Warren Wilson College Climbing Championship! Now under the direction of the newly formed Blue Ridge Arborist Association!

We want to invite climbers from all over the country to come up to the mountains of Western North Carolina for a great tree climbing competition in one of the coolest places you'll find East of the Rockies and South of Maine.

Come battle for the one of a kind ceramic trophies, a growler of Pisgah Pale Ale, and the coveted cup-bowl.

Lets get all amp'd up now! Flier and Sign up sheets will be posted in the coming weeks.

do you think there are cooler places west of the rockies? your selling yourself short. Id say its the coolest place east of charlotte and west of Knoxville. (and south of detroit of course)

Nice. I was talkin' temperature, but... I could expand upon the coolness of Asheville if I thought for a couple minutes about it.

Rope wrenches are of course welcome as well! Just puttin' it out there. Kevin, you have a great thing going there!

Great! We really want to get as many "Excellent Arborists" here are possible to mingle with our local climbers. These events are all about learning and pushing your limits (so far as I'm concerned). It'll be great to meet new folks, and introduce them to some more Asheville trees!

Re: Blue Ridge Arborist Association TCC July 8-9th

The deadline will be a month in advance. We will be setting up a block of rooms for contestants and judges, so we will need people to register by the 30 day till deadline. If you wait till after the deadline, expect to need an alternate place to stay or to camp.

We will have the needed paperwork up soon. Thanks all!

No need for a campground when you got all this national forest land around. Plenty of camping options. I can give you a better idea if that's the route you want to go.

The growlers aren't that cool, but the frothy beverage inside certainly is!
