Bigger is better? Forestry trucks

Probably looking for a new to me forestry bucket in the near future. I have my heart set on a 65 footer but I am not sure if it’s worth the CDL/air brake hassle that entails. My current truck is a baby 42 footer so maybe some of you out there with more experience in a 60 ft vs 65 ft unit can shed some light on whether the extra couple of feet is worth the trouble?
Thanks Chris

Really depends on what the average and max. tree heights are in your area. Where I am we have a 60' bucket that for many of our clients property its not much more than a quick ride to the first limbs. Even a 75' truck will still leave us with 30' or more above it.

I don't know much about the forestry business but I've been driving truck for 25yrs. My personal opinion, stay as far away from CDL and DOT regulation as possible unless it's absolutely necessary!!
