Bid that tree!

$2300 with stump grinding. Chip truck, chipper, Giant 254 Tele HD, and a 16’ dump trailer. Two person crew, 5.5-6 hours. Tulsa, Oklahoma

With 40ton crane 2.5 hours.

Prob in the $1600 range here with leaving firewood wood, and leaving the stump.
I’d let the two guys chew on it and expect them to be done in a short day.
If I were on the crew I’d bring the mini and expect a little under half a day.
At this point as long as the guys are paying for themselves and the over head an a little profit I’d rather just do my thang or bust out a couple of small jobs doubling or tripling the daily gross. Either that or just not work.

Cost: $900. working solo to safely drop it all in the yard. Homeowner cleans it up.
Gear: 3 saws; 1/2" & 5/8" rigging lines; half dozen rigging rings on slings; climbing gear. Full day project, maybe more.
Probably would not get the job. But then, I wouldn't bid it.

Is that some kind of populus? How does that sp. hinge? I've been really into gap face cuts to keep logs on stumps and minimize smasheration. Similar estimate maybe 2k and probably flopping leads

2 trucks dump trailer, chipper, and mini

Sadly homeowners in these parts would pretty much never go for a cut and leave arrangement like that. We've done it only a few times when someone asked how they could save a buck.
Yea, I get it. It would not be likely I would bid on such a project in the first place. If I can't leave it, I'll burn it where it is. But they probably wouldn't go for that either. Fortunately, I don't have to haul trees away where I am. Saves a lot of cost for both parties. If it is a definite, got to have it removed, I'll refer them to someone else.
