hey guys, im looking for some good channels to watch, I watch the climbing arborist, that August H guy :burlas: Human, reg, and a few others, other than those there has to be some good ones

Guilty of treeson is my favorite, the others you mentioned are all good as is educated climber.

Less climbing specific but Buckin' Billy Ray Smith is a wealth of felling and sawing (and treating people right) knowledge.

Educated climber has some really good stuff. It's nice because he has some videos where he voices over clips of him working. Also guilty of treeson has some good educational bits. I also watch Trevor Ahern because he just posts entire work sessions raw without reviewing them or even watching them beforehand.

I will say it's important while watching these people that not everything they do is cosher in terms of ansi standards of safety and protocol. They are professionals that have been doing this a while and are very comfortable with production climbing. This is very important to keep in mind imo. Youtube is NEVER a substitute for professional hands on training. But it's great for seeing how others work and do certain things.

dang, what happened to my notifications? I didnt get any lol, all those are good channels, and what @Sprucinator said is right, youtube is kind of a "Do as I say not as I do" place when it comes to learning, and if something seems off, stop and re evaluate, id rather not work for half an hour evaluating something than fall, falling hurts

yeah, he can do some silly stuff, but its good entertainment, to bad he hasnt climbed in a while (Although he has even said why, he cant concentrate enough to even be half way safe

That Human dude has been through the ringer I think, and a lot of it rings familiar. I hope he’s doing well. Got some issues, but seems like a good person.
yeah, he has been thru some crap, he just keeps getting kicked when hes down

Zigzagman is another channel I'm subscribed to (no offense to him and he's a good tree man) but it's more entertainment where as e.g. Educated climber is actually about the how-to. But like everyone's stated you shouldn't be learning detailed techniques off a video in the first place so I'd say add him to your subs as well!

There is still only one way to become a great tree-man...Working under the tutelage of, and with great tree-men...
im teaching myself, due to me having exactly zero access to one, although my neighbor worked for an arborist once, but I do also know last time they did any tree work the tree ended up on their house...

Reg Coates has a great channel.

Make sure to read the Treebuzz forum as well, and/or read the traditional books. Training by vid is incomplete. Travor does perhaps the best job of illustrating day-to-day mistakes in his videos. The rest are mainly perfect edits, etc.

If you want to see some good short clips check out Jaden Anderson's youtube videos. I can re-watch some of them multiple times.

August Hunicke, Reg Coates, Buckin Billy Ray, Trevor Ahern are good people to watch to pick up on things. Travor puts everything out there even mistakes.. Human is a good one to watch to learn what not to do. Educated Climber and Climbing Arborist are good starting out. Guilty of Treeson makes entertaining videos, too. Most of whom have been mentioned above.

I forgot Reon Rounds has some good videos.

Dont forget to watch all the fails you can. It is arguably more important to know what mistakes can be made. Especially by the guys that are good enough to have big YT channels!
I am all for viewing as many hours of tree work as tolerable. It will teach you what skills, luck and failure look like. Then work backwards to get recipes for each.
