hi. Ive just ordered 20 feet of bee-line 10mm. was planing on terminating it with knots instead of splices. is stitching it the only way to keep the core from sliding out of the cover and if so are the instructions from sherrill the best way/pattern to do it? any help is appreciated.

The cover is kinda loose, you'll definitely want to whiplock it. It's supposedly one of the easiest cords to double braid splice.

Any advise on keeping the core from picking through the jacket? I've tried milking as much slack out, but still seems to pop out.

You might've milked the cover TOO much. Then when you tie it and finish it, the cover starts to relax again, making a chance for the core to elongate inside the rope and try to pop out.

Just shooting from the hip here, but I've seen it happen before and I think that's what it was from.
