Agreed ... "this is a glimps of the future" ... I LUV my bat pow'd tools, but IDK those sure look like handsaw size pieces being cut ... maybe distant future ... let's see one limbing 50 whorls of white pine or a few dozen 14" oak branches ... might need a bandolier of batteries ... but I still want it!

It sure has a serious chainspeed like 20 meters per second...and what I've been told it charges quicker than you can empty it, so 2 batteries and a whole day of relaxed and silent pruning.

Hope we can say goodbye to all these noisy and smelling engine saws in a few years and battery power will make our job nicer

For comparison sake, what is the chainspeed of a 200T?

what about weight? I know there are some pretty cool super light batteries, but I dont know if they can deliver the necessary power for this application. Are there any specs publicly available?

Everything has its place. This merely adds options. Would be great for small thinning work. The batteries are prolly real expensive!


Nick......the 200T has a max no-load RPM of 14'000 RPM.......that is a tough saw to beat!

But how does that convert to meters/second?

It sounds essentially just like a corded electric chainsaw.

I think this type of saw would benefit from a special very narrow kerf chain and bar.

The Stihl MS200T has 26 meter per second chainspeed.
The husqy battery powered saw 20 meter per second and from what I have heard the Makita/Dolmar saw from Treespotter (Wolter) has a chainspeed off 14 meter per second.

Husqy saw battery powered is lighter as a MS200T and RPM don't know ??

It will be on the market somewhere next summer so we can figure out all the rest by the time it will be presented

For now, just sweet dreams about using one of these in the near future.

If the charge time is that fast I wonder if it's a capacitor system instead of batterie? Looks awesome regardless.
