Bandit chipper

I was running my chipper this evening when all of the sudden it just shut down. Now it won’t start back up. It turns over but won’t fire

I've been around 2 bandits now that did that cuz of clogged up fuel lines. One owner tried draining and cleaning/replacing fuel tank which worked, the other drained his and had a finer, additional fuel.filter put on. One guy had a chipper he never kept clean or anything and probably had plenty of shit in there, the other had a gross old.diesel tank.at his shop likely full of metal bits.
Not sure this is a possibility, but the same thing was happening. Starts up when shit settles, dies out once you've been working.

I have had issues with the hood safety connection. For whatever reason it was making poor contact. I keep it doped up with dielectric grease now and its a non issue. It was very intermittent when it was happening, drove me absolutely insane. Good luck

I've had issue with the disc hood safety plug in the past, but don't recall the symptoms.

Its just a plug that completes the electrical circuit, IIRC. A jumper wire can test it IIRC, if you have more symptoms.
