You

Did you instal them yourself? We have always talked about it for our chipper, dump trailer, and flat deck. Im with you on the time savor and if I never had to crank on a jack again in my life I wouldn’t be mad.. I’ve got my 10,000 hours in to be considered an expert at jack cranking its time to master something new
Daren,
sorry for the delay, I don't get much time to buzz...
We did not install either jack we have currently. The dump trailer came with one standard, and the skid steer trailer I literally told the salesman that if he couldn't get the jack on the trailer from the factory I wasn't buying the trailer. It wound up being >$1000 add on with the modifications, jack, pump and battery (which by the way I thought was a very good deal!).
I still need to look at the bolt pattern on the jacks to see if it will line up on my chipper, but that might be next. :)

I'm basing this judgement on the chipper my ex-employer demo'd.. I wasn't electric over hydraulic, it depended on the chippers hydraulic system and required the engine to be fired off, clutch engaged at full throttle to engage the jack.
When he bought the chipper, he went for all the options the demo had BUT the jack. Granted this was about a decade ago, so changes do happen.
Understood and Correct. Every chipper jack I have seen has been attached to the hydros on the chipper. Never though have I seen one that needed the clutch engaged or full throttle. Both bandit and morbark (the chippers I have seen them on) have live hydros so all we had to do was start the engine and push the lever.
