Hey Chip, I think that Alabama stuff was photoshopped into the picture. Could you confirm my suspicions?

His chair looks hokey, but especially the hat. Too clean, and looks brushed around it.

I think you're right. For one thing, it's waaay too coordinated for a bama redneck. The hat would say CAT and the shirt emblem is too big plus it matches the lawn chair. No self respecting redneck would shell out the extra money for a team labeled chair anyway.

The celotex floats, battery and trolling motor are spot on though.

Surely there is hope yet for the kid........some kind of pre-emptive intervention, after all its not all genetics, environmental factors are important too.

I completely agree with you Sean. There has to be hope, and I surely do not want my son to be the smartass I turned out to be. You can't go through life drunk, fat, and stupid. Funny, yes, but I hide behind the tears of a clown...

Which is precisely why I am raising Climber to find the serious nature of everything around him, and for him to despise snarkiness in all of its forms, to have wits, but not use them for expressions of comedy.

When I hold him after a long day at work, I explain to him in great detail what compounding daily interest is and why it is important for him to have good credit over good friends. Friends come and go, but a 780 credit score will get you a lot of things.

Next week, I'm reading him Bill O'Reilly's newest book. It is sure to suck the life right out of him.

Look, this is really simple, cut his vocal cords now before he starts talking smack and all is good.

Stephan hates to recommend drunkenness, gluttony and ignorance... but they've worked for him!

My apology to HST.

Guys, guys, guys,
why the "either/or" scenario?

Let Climber have wit AND wisdom.

His brain is a tabula rasa right now so I say, "Go for it all!"
Wit and smartassing with good friends and a 780 credit score!

Actually, it's YOUTH with wit and wisdom that makes THE best combination!

(I know, I know, it's a rare combination ...)

You mean old age, wit and treachery... that's the real winner.

True, true... sad but true...

I was trying to present an offering of hope...
you know, since Climber is a newborn and all ...
we gotta have hope.
