Giant is no longer sold by top notch, so the closest dealer is in Brandon (north of Alexandria, an extra couple of hours away).

Being new to dealer support, is it a detriment to have your dealer support that much further away?

I started Top Notch equipment 24 years ago out of my tree company Top Notch Tree in MN.
When it comes to Arty's I was first dealer for Avant, Giant, Cast, sold Gehls and a few Multi-Meers in the 25 years I have sold Equip. Avants are great machines For sure, BUTT like anything, unless you have run them all you don't know what you don't know - There are big differences between "Euro" and "American" styled loaders you should weigh these differences and features before choosing a loader for your tree biz. Dave is good guy. I bought my giant from him and he’s always been super helpful, he’s a tree guy and knows what we’re trying to do. I Highly recommend him.

I bought an avant 755i. I figured since we're out in the woods more bigger is better. Glad we went that route.

You're just a good guy to know then, and you're in Minnesota?? Gangster. We'll have to plan a meet up sometime!

I didn't think about reaching out to BM about demos. The bobcat dealer was on it with demos, paperwork, delivery, and anything related to service. With our timeline I figured go for the name I know and experiment when it's less critical.
