autofeed not working

Just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong when the autofeed doesn't seem to work on a bandit 65xp? I was using it today on a purning job and when I put in a bigger branch the auto feed wasn't working. I checked the hi and low settings and everything is good, connections are good and the lights on the controller box are showing good.

I know on the bc625 from vemeer the box can go bad. I know the one on my chipper went out and it works okay without it you just have to be cautious of your rpm's. To replace the box is about $500.

I had a problem with this with my Model 90. It was the hydraulic control valve which is responsible for Forward, Neutral, & Reverse. I took a photo of mine. If you want me to post it, I can. I'll just have to upload it on my computer.

Any other problems? It it only the larger pieces that don't allow it to turn? Is there a small piece of wood stuck above the top feet wheel? (That will do it sometimes).

I replaced the part myself. It was $170. It was refunded to me because it was under warranty still. They just have a policy that anything that leaves the factory has to be paid for.

Easy fix. (If that is the problem).

I was looking the the manual and I found the parts for the autofeed so I'll have to look everything over on the weekend. I think I know which is the control valve, mine has a light that shows that it is working. I didn't notice it on the smaller pieces because it usually kicks in on the stuff thats 3-4" but when I put a 5" piece in it pulled it to quick and bogged down the motor pretty good. I didn't notice anything stuck but alot of the branches had vines so I'll have to check. The chipper still under warranty I just wanted to check because I didn't want to drive to the dealer for something simple. I adjusted the anvil before it started not working so I'll have to check the conections again because one of the cables goes close to it.

Be sure the belts are adjusted properly. If the belts start to slip the motor rpm will still be up so the autofeed wont stop properly.
Was it bogging down due to the feed wheels not stopping?

Try turning the outputs off, then turning them back on again. I have a 150, and this happens w/my autofeed. For some reason, if I disable the outputs, then switch them back on, it works fine again. I have a control panel by my ignition, I think I hit the up button.

It bogged down the motor because the feed wheels just pulled it in without even plausing for a second. There is a disable function through the tach, I'll see if it resets. Hopefully it's just something simple I'm overlooking.
