Re: ATTN: all companies looking for Climbers/ Wor

Gentlemen, please note- this is a hypothetical post… I just want to know the value of an individual with the listed credentials. What’s he worth…?!

Thanks,

Re: ATTN: all companies looking for Climbers/ Wor

alot depends on what state you'd be working in, the range is too much to give you a flat out rate

Re: ATTN: all companies looking for Climbers/ Wor

I was going to say 3 million a day since that's what I pay my guys and each of them have their own spiderlift and bring their own lunch. Of course I still provide gloves...

Re: ATTN: all companies looking for Climbers/ Wor

ok then, prob be somewhere between 100 to 500 aday with your own stuff, it's really going to matter what state and county of that state you work in. You'll prob find the only stuff you'll need is 1,3,4,7,9 as some of the yards in the cities are even too small for a teupen to get into and set up.

Re: ATTN: all companies looking for Climbers/ Wor

your overhead would be over 100 a day so you should be making more than that!

Re: ATTN: all companies looking for Climbers/ Wor

Why should he get 125 an hour with the lift? is it really twice as fast and then some as a climber? I doubt it. Unless your slow and old in the tree but then you wouldnt be worth 50 an hour as a climber. a 50 an hour climber shoud be at least 80% as fast as one of those things especially since those lifts cant get to a considerable porcentage of trees.

Re: ATTN: all companies looking for Climbers/ Wor

I would think the lift would be used for dead and hazardous tree removal.

Thats the goin rate for a bucket truck with an operator. Isnt a spider lift even more versatile than a standard bucket truck? And yes in the right tree, a lift is twice as fast (at least) than even the fastest climber.
You wouldnt know this though, unless you have experience with a lift.

Maybe Jim454 would chime in here since he owns a spiderlift?

"those lifts" will fit through a 40 inch gate. Making most any tree accessible.

This is very true, regardless if the equipment is paid off. The lowest I have gotten my worker’s comp was @ $0.3844 on the $1.00. If I was making “only” $100.00 per day, I would be left with $61.56. That’s not much room for error- or anything else…

Also, tophopper is right on with his replies… $125.00 per hour (even $50 per hr) is a lot of jack. With the right hours per month $125 per hr is pushing $20k. But the employers over all revenue would be considerably higher- especially if the contractor was “punching out” 3k + per day… Of course, there are a lot of variables- but this is achievable… It also takes a lot of “team work” from both the contractor and the employer… You have to be as systematic as possible.

But consider this, an individual with the listed credentials would not lease out to just any company- he will lease out to a company that has “work”, and a need for his service.

Even the 100ft lift is only 62” wide. I don’t know of a bucket truck with these dimensions or lift capabilities. Have you noticed how the tracks on these machines maneuver…??? Look at the inclines and types of terrains these lifts are able to work on… Its impressive!
