Arial friction brake trade for speedline

Not a fan of the AFB? I seem to remember you recently getting that on here.

Never used one myself but I'm curious about your thoughts on it, should I ever consider one in the future.

Yes I did recently pick this up.

Great peace of gear.
I was in need of Arial friction when working with ground man lacking skills to wrap portie..... Had him do it wrong twice and thought this would eliminate that problem.

When unknown to me the ground man was moving to other employment....
So with not a big need for this I was hoping to trade for gear that fits my rigging application.

I need a speedline, rigging rings and more basic rigging.

I now have a mini porty witch is better in the situation for being able to lock it off before the cut is made....

I have yet to try AFB..... I just know it won't do much good without a hand on the tail of rope. ... And when self rigging I lock off often so I purchased mini port a wrap
And have yet to find a use for AFB.

This is a great tools..... Use as block...or add friction as needed..
