Royce’s Tree Service is seeking an Arborist Climber and Crew Leader. Safe, supportive work environment with a steady schedule most of the year. Duties (any combination of the following)
- Climbing (SRT), rigging, felling, and/or pruning operations
- Managing, training, and mentoring junior crew members
- Dragging, staging, and/or chipping brush
- Operating a mini-loader and grapple to move logs and/or brush
- Jobsite cleanup - stowing equipment, raking, sweeping, blowing, etc.
- Driving a large truck (1-ton series) and pulling/backing a trailer
- Minor preventative maintenance - cleaning, greasing, fluid/filter changes, etc.
- Assisting with plant health care operations
- 4+ years of climbing (SRT) and rigging experience
- 2+ years of crew leader experience
- Associate’s degree or higher
- ISA Certified Arborist®
- Safety-conscious, proactive communicator, with a positive attitude
- Resourceful, driven, lifelong learner that is self-critical and always looking to improve
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and a fairly clean driving record
- Dependable, timely, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Personal cellphone with text service capabilities
- Drug-free with no prior felonies
- Able to work long hours in tough weather
- $21.50 - 26.50 per hour: year-round salaried is also a possibility for highly-motivated individuals
- Up to a $1500 starting bonus is available for highly-qualified individuals
