Arbor-X shows and tells their K-boom and another.

I just put out a K-boom "demo" one this morning at 4:00am today.

I'm not terribly excited about it.

Not all that exciting, but if someone is interested in equipment and k-booms, they will probably like it.

more Bold huge background music. I know it might be bigger music than what's going on in my videos, but why not try to make the video bigger?

the average person probably thinks it's big stuff and they will think the music goes with the videos well I hope.

anyway this shows our 29 metric tonne Palfinger K-boom at work, it also has a Palift hooklift system.

also, Palfinger North America had Westminster Hydraulics build them a "show truck", "demo truck" and gave them the green light to let me run it to do some tree removals.

its a PK 150002. A 150 m/t !

a decent crowd of TreeBuzzers was present during this work.

Good stuff once again.

I think you guys would be a blast to work with X.

Anyone else run that K-boom or is it just you?

Re: Arbor-X shows and tells there K-boom and another.

no not yet....

I'm not good at sharing it. (My favorite possession.)

but the others have had training on how to activate it from the ground and use the ground control levers, in case I'm dead or hurt...

and thanks!

We as a crew get along extremely well and everyone looks forward to our work days, I can honestly say.

That was impressive! Nice work. My boss tels me stories when he started doing tree work and the company didnt own a chain saw And every thing went on a flat bed that didnt dump. One extream to the next. I'll share this video with him. It will blow his mind.

Great video mate!

I like the little snippets of info.

The music...maybe a little dramatic, but i see where you were goin with it!

While a bit of crane tree work goes on here in Australia, no tree co's that i know of have there own cranes like that.

We do have a lot of overhead powerlines, does that restrict your use much?

Love the hooklift bin on the same rig!

only when you hit them.

just kidding.

I'm not sure what you mean actually.

I'd surely rather be running a k-boom next to wires verses a stick crane with a steel cable hanging from it where the wind or groundmen could swing it into the wires.

Re: Arbor-X shows and tells there K-boom and anoth

Just it seems over there from all these videos that you have a lot of large open front yards, often with no front fences or powerlines.

I reckon if i had your rig tomorrow, i'd only be able to use it once a week due to access & type of work, but i suppose when you have it you gravitate towards the jobs it suits.

Not trying to steal X's thread but here are 2 videos that will answer that question.

Re: Arbor-X shows and tells there K-boom and anoth

I've done them over wires and under wires. If it's close though, I do have them de-energized by the electric company first.

no problem allmark, i don't mind you posting vids on here at all.

in my other video, "the X-Men Clips to come" one, those wires are not energized in that log pick with the tag line on it.

picture attached is from a k-boom tree removal going "under" the wires. second knuckle can bend backwards quite a bit, so part of boom can stay under the wire, and still take a pick high up near the wire. (not bent backwards much here in this picture though)

we don't "ride the hook" here either. Unsafe, not allowed. We have to tie into the boom or above the ball on a cable/stick crane, if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Arbor-X shows and tells there K-boom and anoth

thanks, I had that song picked out for the last two years and planned on using it on our k-boom, but after the big 150 was on site, I felt I had to use it on that crane instead

I've got a few other songs picked out for videos.

these last 3 years, my ears are always open for songs for video and i make a mental note of it if I hear something that i think will work.

I have a friend that has a rock band and he said I have permission to use any of the songs off their cd's as well.

Plus two of the X-Men play music, one guitar, one drums and they said they'd like to make some theme music for a video or two.... I'd like to get something heavy like Pantera to use.

Hey, is there an option on youtube now to use copywrited music that is allowed if some music ad pops up or something? I see some videos using popular music and there is some advertisement to download music at the bottom of the video. anyone know anything about this? So, i guess you have permission to use certain music off of a list if you allow an ad to pop up.
