Apex Wrench & Squirrel Flex Tether

Just got mine today and had to go play with it. Got to say, I am impressed. Took me all of two minutes to realize a setting of #2 on the Apex is where it will remain for as long as I own it, or it wears the cam down from use. I will reserve my thoughts on that cam for a later date. Ran it on Yale Scandere with an Ocean 10mm VT, and an eccentric HC pulley pushing. I am loving the ease of attachment without those damn pins. Also loving the tether. Stiff but flexible enough when crawling over a limb. This set up is a step above a regular wrench and a metal or one of the various shrink-wrapped tethers.
Things just keep getting better and better with our equipment.
Two thumbs up on this one. Now, if I could just get a new set of legs...

That tether is way too long and bulky for me. The Apex on the other hand is the bees knees. I use the double leg @height tether 9.5". So compact. But hey if you digging it all good. Too many years on a shorty.

Have not tried that short one yet. Always willing to give something a go. I am going to look into it right now.

I have tried just about every tether known to man, and I have to agree with Paul (again). IMHO the @height shorty is the best wrench tether on the market.

I know @islandarb will say no, but have you tried the Caralink tether yet @rico ?

I have run both the Caralink v1 and V2. They are nice tethers, I found that is not stiff enough and flops around around a little too much for my liking..YMMV of coarse.

Judging by the bends in your cord you must be using the Arb Hitch, or similar. I'm a fan of a VT but I don't think it will work well with the short tether. Open for suggestions as to what works best for you fellows.

I have run both the Caralink v1 and V2. They are nice tethers, I found that is not stiff enough and flops around around a little too much for my liking..YMMV of coarse.

I popped one of these carabiner holders into the bottom and it’s super easy to slide over the nose and slides off when taking it off the hitch climber.
