Hey,

Checking to see if anyone is using the Stein SMB 1000 and how they like it?

I’ve not used it, but I’m a big fan of fixed bollard devices strapped right to the trunk. I doubt you’d regret it, looks nice.
I got the FTC Microcylinder now, it’s great, but I wonder if I should’ve spent the extra 200$ or whatever on the next bigger size. It’s rare that I need bigger that 9/16 rigging lines, so I’m happy with it. Pretty light, all aluminum so cools off fast too.

Most of my rigging is light duty as well with 1/2 and 9/16 rope work happening. I saw the FTC micro as well. looks like an good option. Basically the same thing.

Does it stain your ropes with aluminum? I would expect it to be clear anodized, but that will wear through with use.

That looks like a handy little unit. I think I’ll try it

I just got the ftc micro cylinder, showed up yesterday used it today for some light rigging, thing's awesome lighter than my Porta wrap and easy to set up solo.
