Anyone need help with heavy hauling?

Where is Fall River Wisconsin?

I hate to say it but the way things are right now I don't think anybody is looking for help hauling. Do you think you have a big enough box? What's your empty weight? How fast oare you on that Prentice (what model do you have anyway?)

Fall River is in s.e. wi.near madison I think the truck and box are about as large as one might want for in town use.The prentice loader is model 120C will lift 4 tons at 10 feet, the gross empty weight is 37k. I can make the unit move yes...Iam from minneapolis, still got elms in st.louis park? Po

$20 per yard w/$200 min. for example; multiple pickups in various parts of town.Or $500 for a full truck load example;you have 1 or more loads in the same location and want it moved to either another site of your own or to one of my own dump sites,if the sites are far apart I may ask more for fuel costs,if the sites are close I may reduce the full truck fee,if you have mutiple loads the fee would be reduced accordingly, example 1 load $500ea. 2 loads $400ea. 3 or more $375ea. I will customize to satisfy your needs! Hope this helps Po-

You're killing me with those prices. Too cheap. That is if you are putting on a true load. I thought I was heavy at about 35.5 K empty weight, but you beat me. We run 30 yard boxes on our trucks and that seems pretty good. We have one truck with a shorter wheelbase and one with a long w.b. (265 inches, plus a tag axle. Is that truck here in the Metro area, or do you keep it in Wis? I can't say that I am trying to find work for you, (work is kinda scarce), but just like to hear what other guys are running for loaders.

Good luck to you.

Ya I know the prices are dirt cheap, being in southern rural wi.I cannot charge minneapolis fees for a load.Iam guessing your probobly around 1k for a 30 yrd load? Are you hauling anything besides tree debris? Ive tried everything I can think of; constuction cleanup, railroad ties, metal, municipal brush dumps and curbside cleanup, small demolition, the list go's on with little response ....Ive had some work hauling landscape stones, may start buying and selling them next year. Also EAB is getting real close to this area...so who knows? How is it going up north?

Yes,

In fact I think pigs eye will buy it from you, if you're on the north end of town talk to the guys at ceres. They will at least buy the logs(buck a yard but it's something) brush is free.

Well THAT would be news to me if Environmental Wood Supply (Pig's Eye) is PAYING for unprocessed material. I know that they pay for chips, but I haven't heard anything on brush and wood. Jim, you are getting a good deal on that hauling. We really don't like to get any less than $550 a load for hauling.

Po, yes, we will haul anything that we can get enough money to haul. We have a job that we haul about twice a year where we go and haul about 30 yards of manure from a farm. That is actually one of my favorite hauling jobs because it is in such a nice setting. And the manure really doesn't smell that bad either.

Say Po, is that Prentice front or rear mounted? I'm guessing that it is rear mount-they are more versatile in what you can do. It sounds like you are trying all the things you can find for work. You will just have to come across the right person to get a line on some good work. Another question, what kind of a bucket do you have on that 120?

Ah "ceres" that name brings back a few memorys too, used to work for them in the era when landyards were called "scared straps" before ascenders and such...must of been a real chicken myself cause I used two of em..Yes Ben I had the truck converted from a front mount logging truck with bed stakes to a rear mount with the tree service box..you are right it gets in real tight, too bad I coudn't afford to change out the 1/4 cord grapple for a bypass (runs about $6K)What you using Ben?Iam guessing a debris grapple being able to haul manure and like that...never used one.Question ever herd of or seen a snow grapple? keeps running thru my head as I plow snow and look at the mack just sittin there lookin cold.....Po

Po, get yourself two old pickup snow plow blades. You could probably figure out the rest. I have heard of it being done for snow with a loader. Imagine picking up a seven foot long scoop of snow and putting it in the truck box!!!
We have one loader with a wide bucket on it ( I think about 3 feet) which is good for loose debris, the Serco 8500 I run has a 1/4 cord butt grapple bucket but I had some sleeves made up that are easy to put on and good for light duty use in loose material like stump chips, pulverized or loose dirt, and yes, even manure. Personally I like the butt type bucket more than a bypass, maybe just because that's what I am used to. However, it is much more versatile.
Hope you'r staying warm, sure is cold here today.
