Anyone know of *nylon*(or mixed fiber I guess) cordage with the *feel*/lay/appearance of Tenex TEC?

I understand the advantages poly offers for ropes but prefer nylon's shock-capacity, Tenex TEC is outstanding stuff of course and I love it for basically all anchoring-slings and log-wrapping-slings however I wish it were nylon / had a good shock-capacity, would much prefer a poly/nylon mix or a pure nylon alternative but just uncertain what to get (googling didn't give me any good hits which I found weird, there's gotta be at least a mixed-fiber, double-carrier / flat-laid hollow-stand cordage available w/o toooo much trouble, I'd think! I've got Samson's industrial catalog, would love some PTS-12 which is their double-carrier 12-strand but pure nylon with 4.7% stretch @10% which is basically my ideal/goal here!)

Am in love w/ the ease of use, both in-tree and just the myriad things you can easily make/splice, of TEC but just wish it'd had specs closer to my Polydyne (many of my TEC anchors quickly become my weak-points if I setup a worst-case rigging scenario ie my 5/8 bull rope can take stronger shock loading than my 3/4 anchoring slings which wouldn't be the case if those slings had better dynamic-capacity ie some nylon/increased elongation)

Thanks for any suggestions, am spoiled buying discounted from Wesspur or free-shipping(and by-the-foot) from Gap for all my TEC and Ice Tail so am hoping it's possible to get nylon or mixed-fibers (anything over 2% elongation, really) without it being like 2X the price but want at least a single, large-diameter sling of this type regardless of price [will be my "I wish I had another tree to rig from" sling, probably put the Safebloc into it ;D ]

[because of the inevitable comment on the subject--- No, I am not afraid of breaking TEC slings!!! I am interested in slowing/blunting as much force as possible from a falling log by using gear, instead of the tree, though and cushier ropes certainly offer you that no matter how close-to-limits you're using them ;) ]

Stretch in a sling is pretty much a moot point. We are not talking amsteel here.
It’s nearly always advised to choke the block as close to the spar as possible to mitigate any extra flop in a dynamic load.
Polyester is tougher. Little less stretchy, and way more UV resistant.
Say you have a poly sling that’s 10’ long with 5% stretch per 100’ at 10% will
And you have a 10’ nylon with 10% per 100’

The difference in a close hauled block is minuscule.

Agree on the miniscule amount of stretch that you'd get on a sling. The fact is that if your slings are the weak point then you need bigger slings.

How big are you currently rigging? I only ask bc as you go up in diameter it takes much more weight to get that stretch in your rope. I know you know that, but my point is up until a certain load, your 1/2" rope will mitigate more shock than your 5/8" will.

The single biggest reduction in impact forces comes from the person holding the rope, and it comes with experience and exposure to the work. Depending on other circumstances and variables, there’s plenty of guys out there that can catch heavy tops on skinny spars and I’ll feel no more than a gentle sway up there, and they can (and often do) do it with very static ropes.
It’s like the difference between gently slowing your car down before coming to a stop as opposed to crashing into a brick wall to stop it.

Which isn’t to say elongation isn’t an important factor, it absolutely is, but there’s no substitute for refined techniques.

If there was a real advantage to using nylon in these anchors, you would see a lot more people using it.. but I lean towards what everyone above is already saying.
Regardless of splitting hairs on the benefits, it's not that hard to find.. a simple search populated my results with at least 3 or 4 possible manufacturers.

If that don't work.
Samson probably has a few
Atlantic Braids - Jerk IT 12 , Dynamic 12
Nova Braid - Nytec 12
Pelican - N12

Just guessing here, but I could see nylon locking up harder than poly under a heavy load.
Why not just use a rigging line with more elongation?
