Anybody have a buckclip for sale or trade?

Somebody has got to be able to fashion their own right?!

I’ve seen one in hand. Doesn’t fit much besides the ring on a saw lanyard. Won’t take a regular locking carabiner

For $54, I bet I could make something. Might not be quite as slick, but it's a simple concept. For $54, it could be made a bit more durable, and maybe big enough to hold a carabiner.

Yeah it's not for 'biners or gear or anything else, it's just for hanging up yer saw. Best saw holder I've ever used. I like it more than the transporter or shembiner.
May I enquire as to what you like about it compared to the others?

I hadn't seen one before...but if they become available for a more reasonable amount, I could see replacing the Shembiner.

I assume it would get caught a little less on branches and not grab my lanyard periodically as the Shembiner does. I think the fact it just holds the ring on a saw lanyard is great. Any bigger and it starts to grab more stuff.

Also, the shembiner will lay down a little sometimes - parallel to the harness rather than sticking out making it harder to drop the saw into it. I imagine the buckclip wouldn't do that???

On the downside, I could imagine it being more difficult to find by feel alone without looking for it.

I like the buckclip for holding my rope bag on crane jobs. Easy on, easy off, no gates, and low profile when not being used. Mine was a freebie, so no, I wouldn’t buy it just for that. I prefer carabiners on my saw lanyard, so it doesn’t help with that.

LOL

Marv fabricated the same saw hook using the flat stock that goes into chain link fence. A bit of vise and hammer forming then a quick dab of welding to close it around the saddle waist strap. Good to go

This was in late 1960’s

I had the same on my first couple of saddles too in mid 70’s
Sounds like Marv could be making that Buckingham kinda money right now

Lots of different ways to accomplish the same task, just depends on what works best for your own personal preferences and style.

Note to anyone who tries this, take proper precautions when welding galvie
