Any way to redirect this redirect?

I used this redirect (pink dots) yesterday to cut the branch at the green circle. Is there any way I can use the available crotches (pink or blue circles on left and pink circle on right) to safely position a climbing rope at the yellow line so I can remove the rest of the branch? The limb with the red Xs is too far away.

No redirect but lanyard on blue to cut what’s beyond that with foot in yellow crotch. Then hop down, lanyard on yellow crotch and cut stems beyond, then finish it around the trunk.

Just pull your main line back out of the pink crotch, and put a short DdRT system through there, then you are suspended between the two points and have great access to the yellow.

I checked the alignment this afternoon. Using the pink circle up high on the right and the blue circle on the left will put me within easy reach of the limb at the yellow line. I can connect ropes from those points to a 3/8" delta screw link holding the pulley for my climbing rig, pull it up higher than the limb, and secure both ropes to the base of the tree.
That'll put me where I need to be with a straight up climb instead of having to pull myself out there, which I find very difficult.

Thanks for the suggestions. They made it clear it was OK to use the available support points different way.

This. Or just capture both sides of the left side redirect so you are then supported between both redirects.

Am uncommon thought is, provided the line stays clear of falling wood, to anchor a climbing line to the far left in another tree or the ground for another climbing system, like hook lines are used.

It took more fiddling than I expected to get the MRS pulley where I wanted it for the straight up climb, but otherwise my plan worked pretty well. Didn't have any problem getting rid of the branch with a controlled speed line.

For future use. Climb higher than you need to on your main tie in, then tighten your "pull over line" to get the slack out, rappel off of your main climbing system to drift over. You can let your self down on either system to fine tune your position.

For example, climb to the number 1, tighten the system anchored at number 2, rappel the main system to drift into the number 3 position. Screenshot_20250217_172213_Samsung Internet.jpg
