Any user discussions re the Sequoia saddle?

I used SEARCH to look for discussions about the Sequoia saddle. I tried Petzl, Petzel, Sequoia and even looked through several pertinent forums and got only one reference and Sequoia was only mentioned as a prize or something.

I'm sure there are discussions about the Sequoia somewhere - can anybody give me some hints? Thanks!

ive been using one since they came out. i really like it. ive replaced the bridge once and will probably do it again by the end of the summer. i briefly switched to the ergovation but went back to the sequoia. i couldnt get used to the extra bulk.

Hey thanks marlinspiker, good info. I was toying with the idea of buying one. Still, it's a bit pricey, but nothing like the $500 plus price tags on similar saddles.

Puzzled about the bridge replacement??? Does it need to be replaced more frequently than expected???

I just switched from a velocity--got an endofshow deal at isa on one. Man that bridge looks mighty skinny--5000#?. I back it up when over a lot of air.

Love the lightness and the wide thigh grips. first legstrap saddle i have stuck with--no testicular conflicts. now i alternate with the velocity to vary the potential lumbar strain.

Mine's kinda rank from several sweatfests--washable in machine?

Guy, Velocity = rope ? Versatile = saddle ?
Dunno just asking

I have been using the Sequoia SRT and I am quite happy with it. Did take me awhile to get the adjustments right. You will know if they are not right if you have unbalanced pressure points while you are working. The adjustability should allow you to neutralize these.

The saddle material would suggest machine washing would be ok but I think I would rather just hose it off and let it air dry.

Too much sweat on saddle = too much work on rope. Is somebody still body thrusting??

I have a Seq SRT and a Treeflex. The Seq is very light and comfy for me. Two comments are 1) I think it should come with a ring on the bridge like the Treeflex and Treemotion and 2) I can't cinch up the leg loops to quite the extent desired. I guess I have small thighs. Excellent saddle though and get the SRT version.

By the way, the Petzl Al ring sold by Sherrill for the Seq bridge will not accommodate the bridge and two biners. So says Sherrill.

You guys are killin' me with all these favorable reports. You're sayin' the very things I was looking for in a saddle. Well, I could do with a little better price!
