On the best rain gear for ground work?

Grundens have held up well for me for rain pants. Patagonia is the only company I like for rain jackets. Expensive but durable and they stand behind what they make. If it breaks or rips they will fix it or replace it.

Grundens, but I'd do overalls instead of pants. Carhartt ones have lasted decent but no comparison as far as durability.

It’s been my experience the Grundens rain jacket hoods do not fit comfortably over helmets, also after a couple hours of solid rain they tend to allow the water to seep through. Ryan what particular flavor of Patagonia’s do you like?

Thank you! I have the Carhartt set very comfortable but unless i retreat them after washing, they don't keep me dry for long very much appreciated

Just to be clear, are you asking about the thick rain gear fisherman use like above that actually stand up to abuse, or the thin stuff hikers use that lasts a while and loses its repellency after a bit?

Nice, and they have great visibility. thank you! Other brands like frog toggs come in earth colors, (or at least that's what I'm finding) no good for groundies

Good point, light enough to move but strong enough to withstand brush/wood hauling. And maybe black berry resistance haha well that last ones wishful thinking...
