Re: Another Time Lapse Removal

The spear at 1:31 was great! What camera were you using? Does your camera have the option to capture in a time lapse mode? Or, did you record real time to later speed it up when editing?

Re: Another Time Lapse Removal

Nice, but I think you've termed the video incorrectly. A time lapse scene is one that is a composite of a large number of photographs taken at (usually set, via an intervalometer) intervals, and played back one after the other, which gives the feeling of a vastly sped up video.

This is simply a video played at fast forward speed. Which is cool, especially if the sound is on...I love hearing what sounds like a sewing machine cutting at 25,00 rpm!!

Roger,

You say, "tomato" I say, "tomato." errr. . . something like that.

Thanx for educating me!

I fixed the thread title or attempted to!

Jamin,

I used a flip video camera on a tripod. Total running time was 1hr. 11 min. Then I just sped it up on the computer. (As Roger pointed out.) I love those flip video cameras!

Yea that fast forward makes it look like bob the builder...gosh I know some people dont like siver maples but those people have a nice tree shadeing their house and then want it removed?! Great video dont get me wrong but that tree did a lot for shading that house...they will find the A/C in the summer will be running a lot more

sorry, Tony, but......I was teacher's pet in first grade...and got beat up in playground routinely...because, my mother had taught me to read, write (not just print) and spell, before I entered school. So, I was enlisted as the teacher's assistant.

Guess I never stopped.....

Roger,

No apology necessary. I was sincere when I said thanks. Having a degree in Philosophy I fully appreciate saying what you mean and meaning what you say.

I was ignorant of the proper term and you corrected me. No problem. Now I know and am better for it!

I have learned in my varied life to embrace learning on any level. When it comes right down to it, your education formal and otherwise, is all you really possess. Everything else can be taken, bartered or sold. I strive to increase my possession daily and to appreciate any opportunity.

O.K. off the philosophical soapbox.

No offense meant, but I agree with a couple of the earlier posts... That tree was all that house had going for it!

Definitely a little close for a Silver Maple, but man, that's an ugly house after 6:30, when the last of the foliage goes!

Tom, et al.

I totally agree. While the tree was not great, is was something. However, there were some heaving issues on the concrete patio and the client was worried about foundation issues in the future. The client was advised of all options and choose removal. I think the seeds and leaves every year were part of their consideration! ( I find this ridiculous as I am sure many of you do as well!)

In the end, the CLIENT choose removal. If we had not removed the tree they would have simply paid someone else to do it. Possibly another local company would have recommended topping to keep the tree small!!! Unfortunately this happens as often as the removal of a viable tree.

I am unaware if they actually went through with a proper species/distance from the house replant.
