Anodizing failure issues with ropewrench.

Anybody having issues with the anodizing failing and flaking on your rope wrench? This is the second time I have had this happen. Both times on the inside surfaces where the tether attaches. First time ISC replaced it. This time it is a different one that is part on my northern clear stash.

Nah never heard of it flaking off. Just normal scratches and rope burns.
Do you recall what year the last one you sent back was made in?
Was it same year as the one you have that's flaking now?

First one was in '15 the second was '17.

My original ZK2 ate right down where the tether attached. Not life support. I gave it to my lady arb friend. Probably binned by now....my next one ate all over so I used a dremel and a wire brush bit and sanded it right down all over. Use that everyday although I have 2 newer ones. Might buy an orange one this week and bin that. Always wanted an orange one.

I have a purple one that has some nasty looking corrosion near where the tether attaches. It is all flaked off. I'll look for it this evening.

Wait two years, then look for something else.. like a fishing reel. You won't find the fishing reel, but the Rope Wrench will be at the bottom of whatever pile you were excavating at the time. You will have no memory of how it got there, but your wife will insist that she is not secretly hiding your shit, and the dog will have a guilty look on his face, in your paranoid state of frustration.
