amsteel abraison resistance

I thought about using some amsteel to splice up a friction saver and was wondering how it took abrasion resistance. Would it be a good idea and take the abuse like a 16 strand or the webbing through the natural crotches of rough bark. Also I was wondering if anyone has used it to make the whoopie saver or something to that effect. I figured it would be adjustable that way and take the abuse. Any thoughts or opinions.

Is this for rigging purposes?

Amsteel is made of dyneema fibers. Dyneema is very tough and handles abrasion quite well. However, Amsteel rope is woven so softly that I would not say that it handles abrasion well.

It can be made into a whoopie, but requires a longer bury.

I'm wondering when a rope manufacturer will make a more tighter woven technora or vectran single braid that arborists can use for rigging such as this. I know it would sorta demean the rope a bit as those fibers don't like tight turns... but I think it'd be good for jobs like this.

What about All Gear's tech cord? 100% Technora 16 strand hollow braid. The 5/16ths would be great for what you want Tyler. I think its a class 2 hollow braid so, like with Amsteel, you'll need a longer bury. Knot & Rope Supply has tech cord.
