Advice sought: Woodsman 12X Chipper, 2005

I'm looking to upgrade to a larger chipper. This one is offered for $15,000. 268 hrs, Cummins 85hp diesel. The seller says it's just been fed small limbs from a golf course.

I'd tow it with a 7.3l Powerstroke in an already heavy F350 dump truck.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts. The machine is 3.5 hrs from me. We're currently using a Bandit 65 that I can push all over the place with our mini. I'm not in a terrible hurry and it's a sizable investment for me just now. Will be it hard to find service/parts for a Woodsman going forward?

The 12x is a good machine. The only issue I've ever really seen with them is the top feedwheel motors go out once in a while but every model has some little issue! As for parts availability, it shouldn't ever be an issue. We stock or can make just about anything you'll ever need for that machine. If you have any questions on it at all, call our shop and ask for Paul, he worked for Woodsman/Terex for 16 years and knows about everything there is to know about them. Our number is 989-772-8818 or you can email him at paul@landmarkmachinery.com if you prefer that!

I have been working with a Terex 730 for a short while with the same hp.
I wouldn't hesitate to jump at that machine if I were in the market.
I haven't heard much or any negatives on these machines.

Yeah what he said ! I've had mine since new last December and is a solid machine, no issues. I'd buy another in a heart beat! Chips better then a BC1000 and bandit 150. Good on diesel as well. Fairly light to tow also.

Great! Thanks for the specific feedback, and the comparisons to other machines I've been considering.
No problem, id stay away from the bc1000, been there done that! the bandit 150 is decent but hard to find a good used one. My dealer didn't have any new ones when I was looking and Carl set me up with mine at the TCIA expo last year.... haven't looked back!

I was just looking at that chipper ad earlier this week. It was actually listed on several used equipment sites. Wasn't me through, I was just looking around for future reference.
