A.R.T. Positioner 2 with swivel & Petzl Micrograb (2016)

A.R.T. Positioner 2 with swivel in mint condition. Has one short climb on it. $115 shipped
Petzl Micrograb (2016) in great condition. Has a few climbs on it. $45 shipped

Both are great tools, but I just can't get used to 1/2" flip lines. Gonna stick with my 3/4" to 7/8" flip lines!

Sorry, but I am not really setup for pictures. The Positioner is in perfect condition, and comes with original packaging, manual, and allen wrenches. If you were not satisfied with the condition, you could return it.

I just load pics onto my laptop and then use the ''Upload a File" button below.
Hats off to you for flippin such a big line. If its just a piece of mind issue you may like the steel core variety.
You can recam the Positioner for it. I love my swivel positioner on my 1/2'' steel core.

I live in an area of big redwoods and firs, and almost all my jobs are large removals. Large diameter flip lines (wire core or not) are a must, because a smaller diameter flip-line raises hell with your forearms and hands. Flip up a 5-6' diameter redwood with a 1/2" flip-line and you will know what I mean! I agree that the Positioner is the best lanyard adjuster for smaller lines, and is as smooth as it gets.

I have no experience trying g to flip line wood that big, never would have really considered lanyard rope size. Is it the weight of the larger diameter that helps flip the line around the stem?

Wondering the same thing. My steel core flips easy around all spars except the biggest in diam and shaggiest of barks.

The extra weight and stiffness of the larger diameter flip-line definitely helps with big trees and gnarly bark. The bigger flip-lines are also much easier on you hands. Many of my jobs the first limb is over 100' and there is nothing like a 7/8" wire-core manilla flip line for effectiveness and comfort! Also been running a 3/4" flip-line made from Samson stable braid that I love. Amazing feel.
