We did the heathen solstice thing. Funny cause I got all excited last year and bought a axe handle at the hardware store, it was really nice, perfect grain, blah blah.. finally I got sick of it taking space in the closet, found a ‘flawed’ axe head on eBay..
got me a new wedge pounder, the head was 4.5# and it’s just over 5.5 with a handle..
sooo basically told the wife and kid, this is what your getting me for solstice.
For those of you who don’t know, the axe isn’t flawed one bit. It’s hand made, forge welded, and you can see the temper line
