Sorry but wasn't this crane just on eBay for $32,600? Or did you not get the price you wanted?
No my reserve was higher so crane didn't sell.

They are a great first crane. Parker had 2. An LMI should have been on it when new so the parts are probably available. If you do add one find someone that will do an interior wire. Set up from the factory they came on the outside and that is a pain for tree work.
PS you can put logs on the back of it too!

Great advice. I just saw joe running one of parkers the other day. You can get a lot done around here with one of those. Just not sure what should come first. Log truck or crane!!

Well you can get a nice trailer to pull behind your crane that can hold a hefty pile of logs [emoji16]
I assume you can have at least a 30k pound trailer and still be under 80k. However I am not sure what that truck is capable of pulling or rated for...

Almost identical to the first crane I ran/did tree work from. Great first crane. Had stake pockets with log standards on the bed and we'd pile logs on just like FlyingSquirrel said. We had a 25 ton tag-along set up as a log trailer, but our crane had noooo power (Ford p.o.s. diesel) so we towed it behind a separate truck.PS you can put logs on the back of it too!
With a pair of lifting tongs and a little practice, you can run it by yourself as a log truck: come down directly over the log with the tongs and they'll slide right on; pick up, set on bed, and if you boomed down and slightly to the side quickly, about half of the time you could get the rings to pop off the log.
P.S. Make sure you use lifting tongs and not skidding tongs!

I really wish technology was better when I worked up there, we did some cool stuff with those cranes. And the other toys he had. I would think the crane would be above a log truck if I were in that market. But that's only looking at how we did things when back when...
