Too bad the customer didn't have you do it shortly after the split. The split looks very very old. Kinda makes you feel bad drilling in newly healed areas.
Also too bad they didn't have you thin out the crown, looks very thick. If the tree "needed" bracing, then reducing weight and wind resistance in crown would be important too. Looks like the tree likely has dead wood in the crown with it that thick.
If you trimmmed it now though, your cables would likely get way too much slack.
Good job with the long rods.
How many did you do? The right tools make all the difference on how fast the install goes. For years i used inadequate tools.
