It works with my RR. I bet it is fine with other mechanicals... but I can't use a hitch. The hockles are absurd. The stretch isn't a joke either, and I usually run Tachyon.

I read the posted rules of behavior at a local park near me, and they clearly rule out climbing in the trees without prior permission. I feel pretty certain it could easily lead to an arrest

Bureaucracy at its finest. Take away access to the trees you own and then sell your rights back to you in the form of permits.

Your splice looks way better than the one in the Wesspur ad. Samson has historically been my least fav rope maker but I'd be interested to try this stuff just to see if they've redeemed themselves. And yes to bright colors, camo ropes are gimmicky and not meant for daily work. Snakebite, Platinum, Bandit, the Saluting Branches Tachyon, all too invisible IMHO

Tachyon comes in like a handful of colors. Most of them high-vis. Take your pick. The only thing that I can think of that beats that number of options is the yale pile of differently named same damn ropes.
