I'm trying to envision the usefulness of the pinto spliced into this rope via Becket and its escaping me for the moment. Any thoughts?

I'm sort of in the same boat! The only thing I can see is butterfly knot and carabiner an SRT line then use the pinto as a Ddrt redirect? Any other ideas?

Add a pulley in the mix and the the becket splice might make sense for a MA pulley system.
