3 Cottonwood Removals

No i believe it is a 262. My dad just wont bite on getting a new saw. That thing is very tired let me tell you. It ran well that day though.

What's with the bore cuts? Just practicing?

The first one it was....for the larger one I did it so I could put a wedge in. There was a lot of weight on the back and fence sides. Hard to see in the videos.

I just find with medium sized trees that it is a smoother process for me. Just a little bit of saw control

The most unsafe saw Stihl ever produced IMO. Notice how the natural tendency is to grip the front handle on the side rather than on top making the chain brake totally useless. Husky has one out now with the same type handle configuration.

Why are these tree's being removed in an already barren ladscape?

[/ QUOTE ]

Basically because of how fast they grow. This residential area was built in the middle of a farm field so you are right it is barren. I am not sure if they are going to replant or not.

They would have been a nice tree to start a landscape under. Shading the place to keep small plants from burning up. But if the homeowner has no idea or money for a landscape why keep a tree like poplar to grow and become a problem to remove down the line.
