Sooo, in case you missed it, haven't been paying attention... or whatever the case, the date is drawing near for Early Registration for the Michigan Tree Climbing Competition at Oakland University's campus that takes place on Saturday, August 21!! Early registration ends on August 5, may seem like a long way off - but will be here and gone before you know it!! Special climbs and prizes this year!! Won't want to miss this one! Gear inspection is on Friday, August 20. Speical rates at the Crowne Plaza of Auburn Hills under ASM until August 5th. Camping options also!! Come climb - hope to see you all there!! Sooooo, just wondering, since I haven't heard more than one or two judges, yet.... who from the Buzz is planning on coming????? Climbing or working??? I know a few are - give a shout!!

So haven't seen a post in a long time.. who is coming to climb??? What's the thoughts on the possible outcome?? Heard the trees are supposed to be pretty good this year!!

all trees are pruned at the site and ready to go for set up!!! We could use two more judges or techs give me a buzz (LOL) if you can come to Michigan. Thank you to all that have already volunteered their time!!

If we had to pay for all the volunteer time, all the sponsor cash, services and prize donations, this event would cost $65,000 (and still adding up)to run and that is without the rental fee for the site. A great big Thank you for all the services that are being donated from various tree companies in the state!!! This event would not exist without you! We truly appreciate all of you!!!

I'm glad the event is in August this year. Michigan's awsome this time of year. I'm coming a week early to see my family and sail. The grounds are really nice and there's a lot put into this event. It's gonna rock.

Looks like temps in the low 80's for Saturday... not too high a chance of rain as of yet!! Or too high a humidity!! Should be close to perfect climbing weather! Keep those fingers crossed!

I have been watching the weather too - just a chance for rain - got my fingers crossed too! 17 climbers this year so far. Less than other years, but a good number!! Looking forward to the event!!

Still time though, right?? Besides, if smaller amount of climbers, will be completed sooner -

AND doesn't mean the quality won't be there.
