I had directions for a locking brummel in hollow braid ( in this case 8mm all Gear Tech cord ) I want to put my own narrow eye on each end. I did several a while back, but lost instructions .

second is, can you do a locking brummel in Bee Line? For same purpose, narrow eyes at both ends. or should I just use double braid eye splice for this? Thanks

All gear tech cord has their own step by step instruction illustrated quite nicely on their website for making prussik cords with tight eyes. Not sure on the bee-line!

They are two extremely different types of rope construction. Rather than just telling you the difference, I think it'll be good for yer lernin' if you click here http://www.yalecordage.com/arborist-rope/rope-tools/friction-hitch-cords.html and read about the differences straight from the folks that make the rope.

You'll learn a little about why each has a different splice. The 3/8" is technically spliceable, but there have been a lot of probs with the core popping out of spliced eye-eye slings, so now Yale doesn't "endorse" the splice..
