1st week back at TCI

Sweet! Looks like your getting some crane time. Don't get too spoiled, you know we still knock em' down by hand here in the dirty desert..

Boy,Didnt take jeremy long to figure out the crane operation. Nice cuts too. Very smoothe!

I like the camera angle at the end under the drop logs.

He is good. I had a BAD rig one day and cut it. It would surely have gotten me if Jeremy had not made the right moves to get it away from me. We also had one drop last week. Ill post that vid some day. It almost got me. I mean REALLY almost got me. I think my snap cut sucked and he didnt have enough tension on the peice. In those scetchy situations I just need to learn to make better snap cuts and have my adjustable friction saver or rope wrench above my hitch if its choked on the stem, that way I can descend a bit before he takes it away. We are both learning. Me more than him. We do make an awesome team though and I am looking forward to many years tree fishing with JB

Nice!

Tell me more about pulling that top over with the GRCS.

Reason, what sort of cut used, etc.

It was growing over another tree. We winched it over in order to not damage the other tree. The cut used was an open faced notch facing the block in the adjacent tree and a back cut as we cranked the winch.

The bucket was maxed out while setting the rope. I moved it to get out it out of the way from the swing, and to help on the ground if needed.

Great stuff Jesse!

Looks like fun.

Don't get spoiled, it's easy to do in this highly mechanized biz these days.
