15XP vs 15XPC

I would definitely get the 15xp no doubt. In my mind why would you want a smaller drum. Also that was bandits big selling point that the larger drum was more fuel efficient years ago Also less vibration. Hard to belive a 15" chipper is going for 60 grand. That was how much a 1890xp was in 2010-2013. What is going on in the world!

I would think that a bigger engine wouldn’t work as hard as a smaller engine = more efficient

Yeah I’m a little bummed out with the prices. I really want a winch, which would increase 5K on top of that, it’s pretty ridiculous.

For the price of a chipper you could borderline buy a good used grapple truck.

Can’t believe the 15 XP is at $3000 upgrade. Everyone was telling me it’s 8 to $10,000 more.

Somebody was telling me they thought the 6.2 was actually a more fuel efficient V8 for a chipper. I wonder if the bigger drum uses less fuel for chipping brush vs the smaller drum on the XPC.

They can do it on the 15 XPC. The person I bought my chip truck from in Austin Texas just bought a fully loaded 15XPC, with a winch, custom paint, big gasser and full hydraulic discharge chute controls and he only paid 60K.

Would be about $66,000 at my dealer. It was a pretty big range of differences.

I encountered this same issue regarding dealer territory earlier this year. I tried to get quotes from bandit dealers outside my area just to make sure I wasn’t getting burned and was told they couldn’t. Kind of BS to give that much power to each areas vendor in my opinion.

I was quoted 67,9k or a 15xp gas 165 with winch. And 79,7k for the diesel 145 hp. With winch. Crazy numbers in my mind! My dealer got a 2019 15xpc diesel in with 10 hours from dealer in Arizona no winch but sold as brand new with warranty so I took that. It fell in significantly lower than both of the 15xp ‘s price range. I’m happy with the machine. Feed with with the sk 800 all day and it does everything I want. That said I’m sure the bigger anvil is even better snd there is a S*it ton of blow back chips from the feed wheel. Visor down when feeding!

Good info! Ya if I order one I will get the clear curtains with hopes that it helps with the blow back. Only complaint I hear about the 15XPC

I agree would love to see what the 19xpc are going for these days

I ordered a 19xpc October 2020, (got it in March) with 174hp cat, tandem axle and no winch and it was 91k. I think they have went up in price some since.

Looking at my build and price list with a winch and a 6.2 on 15XP should be around 68k.
