14" chipper filling a large chip box

Hey everybody...my company just bought a 24 yard chip truck. Real nice, but it's gonna be awhile before we get a larger chipper. Any tips for using a 14" morbark and large chip box ?

I've heard through the grapevine that you can adjust the bolts on the tongue of the chipper so that it rides at a slight upwards angle, so that the chute points a little more towards the ceiling of the chip box. This would potentially get a little more distance and hang time on the chip discharge. You want to make sure your chipper is traveling OK though. I think this would work better on a disc chipper than a drum chipper but I don't know from experience, just my assumption.

Also depending on how old the machine is there may be vents on the outside of the drum housing that allow you to adjust the amount of air intake it gets thus the amount of output. The vents should be on the belt side, if i remember right.
Tipping the hitch up should work as well, it also puts the feed tray a bit lower so may make feeding better. Also check the back of the chute and make sure the angle adjustment is as high as it goes without over shooting the truck. Good luck.
