07' Bandit 200XP mind of it's own?

07\' Bandit 200XP mind of it\'s own?

I have a Bandit 200XP w/Cat 115hp and Power Great Lakes management system. The problem is when it is intially fired for the first time of the day and it's idling, "warming up" it has been cutting out/stumbling. It'll be idling fine then randomly it will almost shut off completely, but it will restart just short of stalled, maybe 200-300RPM. I have checked hood safety pin, and all the connectors. Its gotta be electrical. Anyhow just wondering if anyone experienced the same prob. or anyone have any ideas?? Oh yea and it runs fine all the time otherwise. Thanks for the help.

Sounds to me like it could be a fuel issue. make sure the filters are clean. If that doesnt work dont hesitate to call the bandit folks in michigan. they are very helpful and have walked me through many problems in the past. Good luck!!

I would run it faster than idle to warm up. I hear 1,100 rpm is about right. Idling diesels wet stack....meaning the cylinder temperature can be to low for the fuel to ignite and the fuel just stays in the cylinder unburn and ends up in the oil. I've been told to run the DT-466 in my boom truck at 1,100 for the same reason...and that is even after it has warmed up.

I say fuel filter for sure. Sometimes we get a little lazy keepin up with the filters on my morbarks and that is an immediate cue that you need to put on a new fuel filter. Be sure to fill the filter up with diesel b4 putting in on so as to get as little air in as possible. Also morkbarks have a pump bleeder for just this situation. I have never owned a bandit so I dont know if they have the same feature. But I would be willing to bet on the fuel filter as your problem.
