    You're probably right, I was under impression that part of the gaff should be visible on his left foot even on that angle. Those crampons are interesting

    Recently I found this picture. Arborist has climbers with no spurs, just something looking like crampons for ice climbing. Limbwalk with gaffs is kind of a pain, idea of using something like this make sense. I wonder if someone could tell me more about this type of "spikes"?
