I'm starting to lean to a younger cottonwood, they're not very large in diameter, biggest maybe 12" I e never burned cottonwood, but my understanding is it's not the best. Heard it burns super fast if its dried even a little too much, and super wet if too green. This stuff isnt really wet... -

I'm confident it's not Red, silver or Butternut, just from.what I know and looking at more images, this is why I'm so confused. silver and red maple cut much tougher than this stuff does. It.could be a cottonwood that I've never seen, but all the Cottonwood around here doesn't look like this... -

ISO better splitter
I've seen the Ox ones, slow, 14 second cycle time, wow as expensive as Eastonmade for the log lift model. They might very well be durable though. But out of my range and too slow. thank you though. -

Thata the worst part. Almost everyone I let borrow it. Normally has same philosophy. Only one person was excellent with it. They changed oil and hydro filter and oil, kept it covered. I was just too nice. Now that I'm likely spending 5k...forget it -

Yeah, the Easton made ones look great as do TW, but pricey. I definitely don't want cheaply made. The Tractor supply made Huskee brand I had did last 15 years. Which given the use it had is pretty is pretty impressive. I'd lend it out to several people an they'd never cover it. Leave them... -
