    Trying to identify pine tree problem

    I think this is a norwegian pine, and it appears to be losing a greater than normal quantity of pine needles. the tree was planted 1 year ago. I have attached a picture of some cracking bark which may be part of the problem. Does anyone have an idea what the issue is?
