    Striping rust & paint, repainting

Anyone do this sort of thing themselves? I bought a used truck and the dump body is well used, but still pretty solid. I did a little google-fu, and came up with "abrasive media blasting", since it seems like sand isn't used too much anymore. What abrasives have you used? Did you buy or rent the...

    Vendor credit accounts

Does anyone know of any truly useful vendors (AM Leonard, Sherrill, Forestry Supply, Site One, Baileys, Rainbow, etc...) that offer attainable net 30 accounts to small businesses and report to Dun & Bradstreet? Gemplers is great, but I am tired of pouring over Quill's and Uline's websites...

    One ton opinions

What do you think about new one ton pickups? Make, engine, transmission, fuel, dump, toolboxes? What has worked for your business? What about contract climbers? As a daily driver? As a light or spare chip truck? I'd value any input, especially about make and drive train. Sent from my XT1650...

Anyone treat wood poles for longer life?

We have big pvc pipes on the roofs of most of our trucks to keep the poles out of the weather, but I was wondering if anyone uses linseed oil, polyurethane, paint, or something else to help their poles last longer, and maybe more pleasant to use. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

    ...you might be a buzzer.

I'm not a fan of Larry the cable guy, but the rest of the blue collar tour guys are pretty funny, even to a Ill-adelphia Yankee like me. My autocorrect got me thinking about the "...you might be a redneck" bit, except for TreeBuzz, and I couldn't find a similar threat, except for a really old...

    Advice for compromise vehicle

So I was in the market for a smallish chip truck for a while, but after some life changes and challenges, I've decided I'd like to go back to having a personal vehicle in addition to my bicycle. I can't justify two vehicles, so I need something that I can use as a daily driver, but still do tree...

    Advice on Ram 3500

I'm considering buying a Dodge 1 ton from a coworker, since I've been without a vehicle since the winter. I'm still going to bike to work, but I'd like to get back to doing my own work, and maybe back into contracting on the weekends. I'm a good driver, but know very little about vehicles beyond...

    Xanthoceras sorbifolium?

So I took these pics at a customer's house a couple years ago, and took some of the fruits. I have since lost those fruits, but they looked very much like the drawing on the wikipedia page for Xanthoceras. I'm not sure I could find the tree again (computer crash), but it was beautiful and stuck...
