Thanks Jon yes it is a small lanyard not the best for flipping up large trunks. Unfortunately camera died right when I was getting the top rigged out.

Here's a vid from two trees we took down yesterday. This vid was only made for fun and to make use of the gopro it's not a training vid or a proclamation of greatness, so ENJOY.

That's cool seems like it would get caught up in brush less. I'm trying to upload the euc vid on youtube in high def but it is taking a long time hopefully it will go through we'll see.

Damn chop you should start charging for your advice, it's mind blowing. Now here's some advice for you, write by example. If you have to use an exclamation sign 10 times in your post you ARE a novice.
I bet you're great to have on a crew

Yo Jesse there's a few guys out here that are talking about doing a circuit and hitting up a few in a row in the spring. I'm hoping to at least make one or two comps this year they're always a good time and I usually end up learning something new every year.
You are always welcome Jesse just...
Banjo anytime give me a heads up but there's always work here! Actually I would love to do a work swap as I like to get to the mainland to do tree work occasionally so if anyone's interested let me know,

Yes the saw was pretty dull but at that height with one ground guy learning to sharpen I'm not about to come out of the tree to fix. Along those lines we did another ficus last week again nothing exciting trying to get used to the gopro. We've got some euc rigging this weekend which should be a...
Haha yeah those vines just make it more time consuming as you have to cut a lot of crap out of your way before making your cuts. Pretty norm though in wet areas on the island.

We've been working on taking down this tree the last week or so; just got a gopro so thought I would put it to use enjoy.

I didn't know anything about trucks and especially about diesels. Since starting my company in 2009 I've spent almost as much time learning about my truck and how to do the repairs as I have doing tree work but I think that investment has actually paid off (later on). Now I can do most of the...
Looks like you are comfortable in the tree and your positioning is pretty good, I agree with the one handed comments looks sloppy and needlessly dangerous. Also I noticed you have a tendency to let your thumb ride on the top of bar, this is a habit that's hard to let go of but can bite you if...
I remember driving through Wellington and being impressed by the large trees and how well they seemed maintained. New Zealand really is a beautiful place.

Yes having a nice site is the first step. I've found a better investment to be paying google Adwords to drive traffic to the site instead of the high seo costs companies charge.

I had a treemotion for several months and traded it and went back to my trusty sequoia. I like how it doesn't shift at all on me and has the SRT attachment point. Both are really comfortable saddles,

Cool video, out of curiosity why didn't you throw to your final TIP? I agree with the above statement seems like a footloop off of your ascender would have made the haul a lot easier. How were you planning on retrieving that line?
