Well u can’t go wrong with the positioner. However even that can be hard to engage as well while in suspension anlthough easier to break friction than the glide. Even the glide isn’t that terrible, just certain functions annoy me. The hipster is also a good choice.
Hey man what’s up. This is William, I met u up in Minneapolis with Frank Schafer and Jon like 5 years ago. Are u still climbing?
I like the glide when in a good position for it to operate smoothly. I’ve noticed that if there’s a tight bend being placed on the rope and cam with my full weight...
I used it on my captainhookclimbing for a couple of years and recently took it off and put it on my lanyard. I just thought that using it in a 3 to 1 on my Captain Hook was a lot of friction and found it easier to just throw on the akimbo and use my leg to traverse.
Oh man those are hard to find right now. I picked up one from my mountaineering store a few years ago. I’m using it on my lanyard now and I have to say it is pretty wonderful. I have a trango Virgo coming this weekend from Amazon where I can try before I buy And I’m interested to see the...
Same backpad not legs. I have a monkey beaver 1.0 too but I find the tm more comfortable for pruning. The pad on the monkey beaver digs into my side and ribs when in awkward positions.
Apparently, I just found out that arbsession offers a Velcro kit that helps
Manage this issue. You just have to send them a message on your next order to include the Velcro kit
I’ve had my treemotion for a few months now and Velcro is already not doing its thing. Anyone have any ideas on how to help it stick better?? I did t have this problem with my older TM. I apologize if their is a thread about this but if there is I couldn’t find it.
I think for removals it’s beneficial to ascend srs and switch over to mrs. For pruning though I climb srs with a second system. Up to a couple months ago I was carrying 40’ of rope with my hook and would use one side for a mrs system, especially for pruning. However, I grew tired of carrying up...
With the cost of these little guys going up to 50$ I was able to find some on Amazon for 35$ and bought a couple extra.

I don’t think that’s a great idea tying to your srs device, as mentioned. Ive used the secret weapon with the rings and it’s effective. Lately, I carry the petzl rescusender with me and use as a 3:1 in the canopy or attach a biner to it and take the tail of my rope and run a mrs system. I’ve...
