Thanks guys that’s what I always thought. I’ve never bothered with a ratchet to hold it up out of the mud I just move my sling up 6” so it’s clear. I’ve never used the bollard type I’ve always been a porti guy

Hey guys and girls Trying to find a good easy website that shows how to tie knots. Specifically: Stilson, Clove, Running Bowline, timber hitch, alpine butterfly, double fisherman. Those are the basics I know there are many more but stilson, clove and runner are the main priority ones I’m...

I’m not an engineer but I do like the lock off rod drilled through and welded rather than on the end. Gives it more meat to grab and comfort in my mind

Chip body, log lift and large chipper combo. Thoughts?

We just got a roll of truck with hiab. We got a new tongue insert to get our 12” morbark to fit in behind. With a tree tarp reel top to be the roof it works as a chipper truck roll up the tarp and logs go in Np. This seems like a good setup so far for us. We’re working on modifying the back...

    Rigging Belay

Candy cane is where you trunk wrap often with natural crotch rigging. It’s called candy caning because of the spiral burn you can rub into the trunk

    Rigging Belay

Porti is on order someone lost mine on a job hhhhh. In the mean time I am thinking if I run through xrr points I can control with a biner/munter or a biner/ eye-2-eye. Am I missing something simple in the mean time without making a candy cane? I thought about muntering a beast xrr but with...

    Mini Rig System

Can you explain this setup to me why the xrr sling if you use the loop sling? It’s not even a spider leg... and why the slip chain hook on a biner, why not just the biner? It seems like extra for no reason or what am I missing?

Good video but I couldn’t be bothered with all that tying when there are so many easy spliced options even a dead eye is simpler
