    Grafting

I've dabbled, successfully grafted about 7 loquats on one tree, 6 white sapote on one tree, a pear, apple, an orange, an avocado, and a few others.. timing and ensuring good snug contact of cambium are pretty important. I prefer using a scalpel but razor blade or good grafting knife works. Get a...

    Racist plant names, common, scientific

It's hard enough keeping up with all the botanical name changes as taxonomy evolves. I swear, common names are more consistent half the time lol

    25' Carbon fiber telescoping pole

Surprisingly sturdy but you can get some wobbles at full extension if not propping it up on anything. I only use a 1/4" hose so minimal weight on it.

    25' Carbon fiber telescoping pole

I use it for palm trees, 1/4" hose and adjustable irrigation emitter gives up to 10' diameter circular spray (less if desired). It's pretty easy for me to handle in this application as I can just prop it in between fronds. I can see it being a bit harder and less practical for trees. I did it on...

    25' Carbon fiber telescoping pole

I have the 60ft one, cost like $500 with shipping. So far it's worked well, can't complain for the price. Use it for PHC canopy spray treatments. I've considered using it for setting lines but I'm a rec climber so it just takes away from the fun. I think they even sell a 75 or 80' one.

Comparing Rock Climbing and Tree Climbing as it relates to rope handling best practices.

Another thought just came to mind. Most multi pitch rock climbing is a team of two people where they are both ascending the rock face. Clear communication is critical for safety and even short distances can impede commands especially on windy days. There are flawed rope tugging methods and now...
