Input From Debris Truck Operators Please

Thats interesting that you favor a roll off over a grapple truck. I haven’t ran either, but it seems to me that there are several advantages of a grapple truck. Compaction. I think a grapple could crush all the crotches and really compact the debris signicantly compared to loading the debris...

Input From Debris Truck Operators Please

Hey guys. I've always been a chipper/chip truck operation but I've been thinking about getting a high capacity debris truck with a clam shell. Its either that or get a 2nd chip truck and a 2nd chipper, but it wouldn't cost that much to get a debris truck and I think on some jobs I'd be a lot...

Whats a Work Comp company that will deal with a small tree service?

Interesting. Encova is the company that just dropped me. I looked it up and my payroll is actually only 65K for the tree trimming category, the rest is for my secretary and mechanic. But I've been with them for two years and had no claims, made every payment. I'm surprised they kept you on.

My work comp company just dropped me. I've had them for two years, no claims. They tell me they don't want the exposure of insuring small tree services anymore. My payroll is around 100K/year, I operate in PA. Other work comp companies are telling me the same thing. Does anyone use a company...

Intrepid KM100 vs. Giant 254 or other loaders

I've been looking at articulating loaders for a few years, thinking about making a purchase this year for the tax write off. Anyone have any experience with the Intrepid KM100 tele? I just found out about this brand at the expo last week. They seem like they have a much smaller presence in the...

Thanks for your feedback guys, thats helpful. Between searching these forums and studying the specs sheets of the lifts I feel very informed about all the important aspects of these lifts except boom speed. One of the most important factors for productivity is how quickly the lift can move in...

Rick, did you end up purchasing a lift? Which did you go with? I'm trying to decide between those three myself. I've had a CMC 83' for the past four years.
