    Cribbing aerial lift out-riggers

I've seen cranes crib over 8ft and then swing trees over houses. It can easily be done safely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cribbing aerial lift out-riggers

I think it's safe but it's an across the board no no due to the least common denominator. Somebody will build cribbing that isn't up to snuff and dump themselves over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Woodlandpro Chains

I haven't had woodland pro chains fail on me like some of the actual cheap chains. Only used their .325 on 50-60cc saws though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Autotune Saws Auto Flooding?

Try putting the 562 on high idle when hot starting. That usually works very well for me on multiple 562's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    T540 Oil leak

If it leaks when you set it down there is a chance that the oil tank vent is plugged. The Tank drains when running but when it's shut off the oil absorbs the heat and expands. If the vent isn't working it will push out anyway it can. Try taking the cap off for a few minutes before storing it...

    Giant River Birch

If there is a supporting cable between the leads then both stems should come down. The other tree would act as an anchor and the tree would respond and incorporate that strength taking it out would risk failure greater than most companies would accept. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    T540 Oil leak

Yes, put the piston at bottom of Stroke, stick a few inches of rope in and rotate to top, should catch. It may press it flat enough to rotate, if that happens put in more rope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    T540 Oil leak

Take it in, the 540 is a real headache. Sounds like a bigger issue than a new oil filter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Beyond 1st aid and crp

Check with your insurance provider. Ours had tailored all sorts of training for us. Even a bending lifting reaching stretching class specific to arboreal locomotion. Had a rash of pulled muscles...the class slowed it down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New to me felling method

The front corner of the tab does not hit. The clearance created by the kerf is enough to let it rotate freely. I placed the tab and last foot of butt back on stump to play with it and it did not make contact when swung up and down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New to me felling method

I think an open face notch would reduce how high the tab rises in the slot. A longer tab would probably help as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New to me felling method

This was the second attempt. There wasn't a clean way to drop it so the brushing on the birch caused some rotation. Took less than a minute to make the cuts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New to me felling method

Yeah you're taking this too seriously. The point is to keep the but off the ground. Say you got a deck under the tree, you can use this notch to flop the top off the deck into the grass and keep the but from falling down and hitting the deck. Now you could put an open face notch wider than you...

    New to me felling method

Since I didn't fully understand it I had to try it, works well for keeping the but from kicking off the stump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New to me felling method

Saw a video of a guy using a new to me notch. Many of my fellow arborist had never seen it as well. Anybody know this one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
